Dr. Holmes is a nationally recognized expert in the field of physics and brass acoustics. He is a professor of physics at San Jose State University, where he teaches “The Physics of Music.” Dr. Holmes has also taught in the Music Department, the Creative Arts Program, and the Science Teacher Program. He is an exceptional musician, having performed with the Boston Ballet, the San Jose Symphony, and Opera San Jose.  He is also a prize-winning composer with numerous publications, commissions, and performances to his credit.
